For as long as he could remember, Seamus O’Reilly had been defending his family’s honor. Growing up on the vicious streets of Ainsburg hadn’t been an easy task, Seamus had quickly learned what blocks you didn’t walk alone, the parks not to frequent after dark, and the allies you didn’t venture down unless, as his cousin Declan had always told him, “You were lookin’ fer trouble.” Seamus knew what it was like to grow up never having enough food in his belly, wearing nothing but hand-me-downs, and living in a tiny, cramped apartment with his mother and six younger siblings. Being the eldest, Seamus knew he had to earn his keep and by the time he was sixteen, he already had an important role in the ‘family business’.
Being an O’Reilly was never just a family name to Seamus, it was a way of life. Growing up, Seamus spent almost all of his time in the company of his cousins Declan, Gerry and Liam. He looked up to Declan, respected him above everyone else, and strove to be like the older male. What with his own father being killed in a gang war when Seamus was only fourteen, Declan had taken him in under his wing and became the boy’s role model. Seamus vehemently defended Declan’s honor and his family name at school, getting into many fights due to his short fuse and quick fists. After Seamus was kicked out of school at sixteen for breaking another boy’s arm, Declan, twenty-one at the time, could already see a talent for intimidation in his younger, violent cousin.
Now, at thirty-five, having worked steadily for the mob for the past twenty years, Seamus has proven himself as a fiercely loyal member of the Irish mob and works closely alongside Declan. He is an extreme loyalist and swore to never turn his back on his family. He cares greatly about the tight-knit family heritage from which he came. He is a cold-hearted killer and plans to seek vengeance on the St. Clair’s for his father’s brutal murder. Seamus is an erratic and impulsive man, often resorting in the torture and overkill of his victims. He is a lot less calculating and is highly impulsive about his crimes, which often leads him and the rest of the O’Reilly’s into trouble; especially in regards to not cleaning up after themselves. Well known for removing fingers, toes, and even a hand or two with his father’s old meat cleaver, from low-lives who have crossed his family, Seamus duly earned himself the macabre nickname ‘the butcher’.
